Job description : 

  • Open pit mine planning including optimization, design, reserves, and scheduling
  • Project management and co-ordination 
  • Liasing with technical team from contractors or consultans
  • Cost control and contract management

Requirements :

  • Bachelor degree in Mining Engineering from reputable university 
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in mine plan and operation with minimum 2 years as senior engineer and 2 years as long term planning engineer or similar roles preferably in coal mining. 
  • Good understanding in mining principles, mine design concepts and mining methods; an awareness of mine operation regulatory requirement 
  • Advance to operate Minescape ( O pen C ut), Xpac, Minex and other mine planning and scheduling software 
  • Previous management and supervisory experience in a production coal mine 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for both oral and written in English 
  • Strong commitment to safety and high professional standards of performance

Deskripsi Perusahaan
PT Gunung Bara Utama (“GBU”) is an Indonesian coal mining company established in March 2007 with total concession area of 5,350 Ha. GBU mine is located in Mantar village, Damai sub‐district, West Kutai Regency of East Kalimantan, Indonesia. GBU mining concession is located approximately 60 km west of the Mahakam River.
Full scale exploration at the site began in 2008 and currently conducting pre-mining preparation for initial production in early 3Q14.
GBU has partnered with Peabody Coal Trade Asia Pte. to facilitate the offake of majority of its coal production. Others have shown interest in similar partnerships to offtake GBU coal.
